How to make spiders love you:
Getting your website noticed

This may give you the creeps…but if you're responsible for marketing your company's website, you need to know how to make yourself more attractive to spiders.

No need to run away screaming. We're not talking about the eight-legged inhabitants of basement corners. These spiders, also called robots, are what search engines like Google and Yahoo, "send out" to "crawl" all over the internet, categorizing and ranking websites.

Getting Spiders to Notice Your Website

If the spiders and robots like you, they reward you with high rankings in the search engines.

So, why should the savvy marketing manager or business owner care about influencing robots and spiders? Click here for full article>>

Marketing in THIS economy

Last month we talked a bit about looking for opportunities even when the "big picture" seems rough. Here are a few bright spots (and, incidentally, clients of ours!)

Like the bank that is seeing a record month for new deposits, even when we hear "the financial industry" is in trouble. Like the financial planner who has never been busier, because they offer real, powerful solutions and advice to people who may be worried right now.

We even hear Wal-Mart is planning for a banner holiday season, because they've built their reputation on value.

What do all these companies have in common? They're taking action, they provide value, and they haven't taken a wait-and-see attitude. So how about you…are you going to wait it out…or get focused, get smarter, and get marketing?

Did you know?

McGraw-Hill Research found that companies that had maintained (or increased) their marketing throughout the 1981-82 recession saw an average sales growth of 275% over the next five years. But those companies who cut their marketing saw paltry sales growth over the next five years of just 19%.

No-brainer marketing: Email Newsletters and Promotions

You have every intention of sending out an email newsletter. You know it's an amazingly inexpensive way to communicate. You intend to do SOMETHING with all of those customer email addresses, but the process of getting it all together is more than a little overwhelming.

If you have a small marketing department, or are a business owner who "does it all", you may quickly find that any newsletter demands a significant amount of your time and attention. You have to manage your list, learn a new software program, come up with a design, test it, write articles…and too often, the whole process falls to the bottom of the list.

What would it be like to have all that off your plate? Now, you can find out. We've developed two great new email newsletter programs especially for busy marketing managers that include professional layout, design and editing, along with automatic list management. All you have to provide is your articles (or we can write them for you) and a file of your email addresses. We'll polish it up, edit it, make it look pretty, test it and send the whole thing out for you.
