We know, you get a lot of junk in your inbox. And trust us, we hate boring, useless, over-persistent (annoying) email as much as you do. But the advantages for ethical marketers using email are undeniable -- it's inexpensive, easy to target, and trackable. What we're finding is that on the surface, email marketing seems easy…but an effective, efficient program requires every bit as much planning and know-how as traditional methods of marketing.
So what DO customers, clients, or subscribers love?
- Information that's useful, timely and relevant
- Special offers just for them ("insider" information)
- Brief, easy to understand information organized logically
- Easy ways to "learn more"
- Getting this info regularly and consistently
- Easy ways to opt-in, tell friends and get off the list if they're no longer interested
Yes, we can help you:
- Get set up and trained with a do-it-yourself email program
- Plan and brainstorm ideas for your email campaigns
- Take your content and make it pretty, "click-y" and readable
- Get the whole mess off your plate and just make it happen

Do you have an older loved one who has made it very clear that the last place they ever want to live is in a nursing home?
Yeah, us too. Well, the nice folks at JNL Technologies (seniorhomesafety.net) have a whole bunch of innovative products that help seniors stay independent at home. |
 |
| From personal alarm systems to automatic medication management, their easy-to-use technologies are all about inexpensive ways to connect families and help seniors stay independent as long as possible. MOD is helping them communicate their new product line with sales sheets, trade show materials, a brochure and a website where customers will be able to purchase their products. Check them out >> |

You may already know that one of our passions is helping schools build better relationships with their communities. That's why we're so excited to have two wonderful projects launch this week.
First, we have Whitnall School District's completely redesigned community newsletter. Although they've been sending a regular newsletter, this new design is based around their strategic communications goals for the year -- fiscal responsibility, globalism, technology and individual education. It's also focused on speaking to the community as a whole, not just parents. See sample >
|
 |
Next is Oconomowoc Area School District's community email newsletter, Connections. |
This goes out to all parents with students in the district, along with community members who subscribe via their website. With a brand-new Arts Center to celebrate, this format is cost-effective, interactive AND trackable - we'll know exactly how many people are reading - and clicking! Check it out here >>

August 26, 2009
If you didn’t already see it, Phi Delta Kappa International released its annual PDK/Gallup Poll of the Public’s Attitudes Toward the Public Schools.
The education association took a poll, sampling 1,003 American adults nationwide.
Among the more interesting communication-related findings:
|
- 75% of those surveyed reported still turning to newspapers as their primary source of news about their schools.
- School employees were cited as another key source of information, reinforcing the importance staff in getting your messages out to the public.
- Nearly two of every three Americans surveyed supported charter schools, but showed very limited knowledge of what, exactly a charter school is.
